Emily Klima

Artist

"Art, whether creating, collecting or just enjoying, is very healing."

Tell us about yourself what you're currently working on.

I am currently working on small figurative ink and watercolor works on paper while at home and finishing up some larger work when I can get to my studio. I have been finding much catharsis with creating. I am also selling work on my shop page with a portion of the proceeds going to charity for COVID-19 relief.

Has your work shifted in response to the pandemic? How?

It's shifted in terms of having a lot more time to create as well as a desire to share beauty and connection in some way.

In your opinion, what is the role that the creative process can play in helping us confront our "new" reality?

Art, whether creating, collecting or just enjoying, is very healing. I think artists, yogis and healers are the next frontier - now more than ever our art is essential and our message must be shared.

Get to know and support artists and their expression. Art never expires!
